Step1. Reading

1. Listen and read the following vowels and words.

2. Read and order them.

Step2. Grammar

1. Read the sentences. Then practice them with a partner.

2. Tick the right answers.

Step3. Vocabulary

1. Complete the passage.

2. Complete the sentences with the correct words from the box. Change the form if necessary .

Step4 Real life Skills

Help the students to create their own e-mail account.

Step 5: Notes

1. allow sb. to do=permit sb. to do 允许某人做某事

     (被动语态）be allowed to do

   allow doing sth.=permit doing sth. 允许某事

2. keep...down    控制、缩减、压低声音

3. be essential to 对...必不可少；对...是必要的

4.    1) consider sth. ：考虑某事 consider how to do it

       2) consider+that从句：认为 I consider that you are right.

       3) consider sb./sth. (to be) sth./ adj. 认为...是，认为...怎么样

           We consider this (to be) very important.

           He is considered a weak leader.   

       4) consider it +adj./ n. + to do：认为做...怎么样

          I consider it a great honor to be invited.

          We consider it necessary to report the incident.

       5) consider sb./ sth. as + n./ adj.：把...当作

         He is considered as a teacher./ helpful.

       6) consider sb. to do：认为某人做...（常用被动）

            He is considered to accept the job.表示经常性或将来动作

     He is considered to have accepted  the job表示已经完成的动作

Step6. Further reading

1. If time permits, help the students to read the passage.

2. The students play different roles to get familiar with the different cultures.

Step7. Summary

Sum up the usage of Exclamations.

Step8. Homework    

1. Copy and recite important phrases.
