Step 1. Lead-in and greeting

First get the students to have daily report.

According to the daily report and ask some questions.

Have a dictation.

Step2.Free talk and warm up

First tell the students people wear different clothes at different places. Get the students to look at the pictures and try to match the places with the proper clothes.

Explain the different kinds of clothes and situations: uniforms, casual clothes ,costume party, theatre, pajamas.

Check the answers together.

Finish the words with pictures.

Check the answers.

Try to give Jim some advice on matching.

Youre working in an office as a secretary. Discuss with the partners whether you should wear the following items when they are at work.

Long earrings, slippers, miniskirt, silk stockings, gloves, hot pants , high-heeled shoes

Step 3 Listening and speaking (A)

Tell them today is an important day for Sandy. Why is that?

1. tend

vi. 往往、趋向    tend to do 有做......的倾向

3. perfect  adj. 完美的、完全的、绝对的、熟练精通的

4. freeze  v. 结冰、冻住(过去式froze过去分词frozen

freezing  adj.   冰冻的,极冷的

 

5. “疑问式+不定式”结构,在句中相当于一个名词。可以做主语、宾语、表语等。

6. agree  v. 答应、同意、意见一致、

                (食物、气候等对身体)适宜

agree to do     agree+that从句      同意做......(无agree sb. to do)

agreement  n.   同意、协议

reach an agreement达成协议

 

7. wear  v.  穿、戴、蓄发/胡须、面带......表情

                  (过去式wore过去分词  worn)

   表示状态,可以一般现在时可以进行时;

   He often wears a blue jacket.

   He is wearing a smile.

   put on:瞬间动作:穿上

 dress:   表示穿衣动作(后不直接接衣物)自己穿衣dress oneself

                                       dress sb. (in+衣物)为某人穿上......  

        表示穿着状态:be dressed in+衣服/ 颜色

dress up:穿上盛装

have on : 穿着、戴着(无进行时)have nothing on 什么也没穿
