Revise the important phrases and words in reading. Step2.Real life skills First read the advertisement and try to answer the questions. List some language points on the screen: a trend spotter participate in surveys receive free samples After reading the advertisement ,try to answer the question: Whom are they looking for? Work in pairs and try to finish the following questionnaire. Explain the important and difficult phrases for them: look in the mirror Use the latest high-tech products Explain: analysis (analyze) After looking the table, get them to make a conclusion and try to say: Is/isn’t sensitive to trends. Tell them the situation: your partner is applying for the position of a fashion editor. What’s your advice to him or her? Give them several minutes and try to express them. Step 3 Further reading First get them to skim the passage and try to get the main idea. List some important phrases on the blackboard. Step 4 Homework : 1. Exercises in part 3 of the workbook in unit 4. 2. Copy the new words and phrases in the passage. 3. Do translation exercises in the workbook. 4. Finish the exercises in the workbook.
