一、教学目标与要求:

At the end of the class, the students can:

Students can master  the word stress.

Students can know sth about the imperative sentences.

Students can change the sentences given into imperative ones.

The use of the Difficult points the Imperative Sentences.

Use of phonetics in our daily life.

四、教学过程与时间分配:

Step 1. Lead-in and greeting

First get the students to have daily report.

According to the daily report and ask some questions.

Have a dictation.

Step2. Lead-in and phonetics

Ask some students to find out the imperative  sentences in the text that they have learnt.Look through the text quickly and try to master the main idea of the text.

1.Teach the students to read the words:

study

cator

above

exchange

robbery

dormitory

earphone

greenhouse

get the students to practice them by reading the words in the book;

Do Ex 2 freely, practice by marking the stresses.

Step 3 Grammar

Imperative  Sentence:

祈使句表示请求、命令、叮嘱、邀请、劝告等,分为第二人称祈使句和第一、三人称祈使句。

(1) 第二人称祈使句通常用来向听话者发出命令,提出建议或要求。这种祈使句的主语you通常不表示出来,而是以动词原形开头。

(2) 第一、三人称祈使句是以第一人称和第三人称代词或名词等作为祈使的对象,这类祈使句通常以let为引导词,表建议。

For example:

(1)Stand   up!

Dont worry about!

(2)Lets go!Let us go home!

Let him be here by 10 oclock!

Step 4 Practice and real life skills

1.In order to consolidate the imperative  sentences . Students will do exercises in Activity 3 with the instruction of the teacher.

2.Ask Ss to show their answers to the whole class.

3.Lead others to answer the question.

4. Ask students to understand the situation,then finish some questions.

5. Pay attention to some words:

1rescue: 解救,营救

2scare:惊吓,使恐惧

 ( 3 )scene: 场面,场景

4stun gun

震撼枪(使中弹者震惊,昏迷却不致受伤的手枪)

(5)pepper spray 喷椒器

Step 5 Practice

1.Do Ex 1:

According to the situation,tick your answers.

2.Do Ex 2

You decided to help the old lady.

What will you do with the items, use your imagination.

3.Do Ex 3

Act out the story,working in a group of six.

4.Do Ex4

Pick your hero or heroine,and give reasons.

Step4  Homework

1. Do translation exercises.

2. Finish the exercises in the workbook.

3. Go over what we learned in

this class .

4. Preview the Furthing Reading part .
