一、教学目标与要求: At the end of the class, the students will be able to: 1. get to know different movie types. 2. grasp useful expressions of asking about a movie. 3. make simple dialogues by using expressions. 4.understand sentence stress 二、教学重点、难点: 1. Lead-in and greeting First get the students to have daily report. According to the daily report and ask some questions. Have a dictation. Step2.Free talk and warm up 1.First do Activity1:1. Play a piece of a movie. Qs: What film is it? (Avatar) What’s the type of this film? (Sci-fi) 2. Then look at the movie posters. What’s the type of each movie? Types of movies: action(动作片), adventure(冒险片), comedy(喜剧片), detective(侦探片), romance(爱情片), horror(恐怖片), science fiction (sci-fi) (科幻片), musical(音乐片), war(战争片), animated movie(卡通片) , drama (剧情片) tragedy ( 悲剧片), panic (惊悚片) disaster(灾难片), fantasy (魔幻片) Competition Rules: Each group chooses a representative. Look at the pictures and tell the movie types. The one answers fastest and right will gain 1 point. Activity2:Rank the movie types on the screen from your favorite to your least favorite. Then give an example movie for each type. Step 3 Listening and Speaking(A) A. What Do You Like to Watch? Activity1:Answer the following questions: Where do you usually see a movie? In a cinema, on the Internet, or on a mobile phone? Which way do you like best? And why? Activity2:Listening 1. Listen to the tape and answer the following questions: 1. Where do Lily and Sandy like to watch the movie? 2. How does Lily think of the movie? 2. Listen to the tape again, then underline the sentences asking about movies in the conversation. Practice the dialogue together. Then learn the useful expressions about asking about a movie and possible responses. * Notes: * 1.Yeah, that movie really rocked! 看过了,那部电影简直棒极了。 Her new song rocks. * 2.Yes,I am aware of that. 是的,我知道。 be aware of sth。意为“知道,认识到” I’m well aware of the problems. Are you aware of the importance of learning English? 3.But I think it would be kind of fun. 但我想那会比较有趣。 Kind of 意为“有点儿,有几分” The naughty boy is always kind of trouble. Activity3: Work in pairs and complete the following conversations talking about a movie. 示范对话:Ann: Hi, Sam. Have you seen the movie Avatar? Sam: Yes, I have. How do you like it? Ann: It’s so great!
