Exposure to Bad Weather

Are you interested in being a backpacker and traveling around the world by hiking? What will you choose to do when you’re out hiking and the weather suddenly changes for the worse? Are you going to cover your backpack and head for a shelter, or are you going to meet the new challenge head on? 

 (1) Strange as it may seem, many backpackers look forward to walking in poor weather conditions such as raining, snowing, storming, and even fogging! Why do you think they enjoy these conditions so much? (2) It’s because such “weather beaten” experience will cause them to change their normal state from place to place, bringing much more fun and unexpected results! 

 Whether for fun or as a traveler, the backpackers are competing to get more experiences. Obviously, if a backpacker can adapt to different natural elements, the extreme weather might bring out the best of him or her. When the weather turns lousy during a time, those “fair weather” backpackers are going to be eliminated. (3) It is always the more seasoned or weather-beaten backpackers who will be left to laugh to the last. They are the strong backpackers who are able to take advantage of the strong wind, pouring rain, dropping or soaring temperature, and thick fog! 

 So the next time when you go out for a hike, remember that exposure to bad weather is the perfect time to challenge yourself, to stretch your limits, and to see what you can achieve.

饱经风雨洗礼

无论是为了娱乐还是作为旅行者，背包客都在拼争中获得更多体验。显然，如果背包客可以适应不同的自然气象变化，极端天气就可能把他们的最佳状态激发出来。其实，如果遇到突然变坏的天气，那些只会“走顺风路”的人将会被淘汰，而那些久经锻炼的选手则能够坚持笑到最后，他们才是善于利用强风、暴雨、气候骤升骤降，或者弥漫大雾的强者。

因此，下次出门远足时请记住，饱经风雨洗礼是挑战自我、扩展极限、检验潜能的最佳时机。
