Personal Business Letter Style

This style is appropriate when you write your own business letter on plain paper. Notice that the writer’s address appears above the date in the upper right corner, replacing a printed letterhead.

Punctuation

Two main customarily used in business letter: mixed and open.

    1. Mixed: this kind of style have a colon after the salutation and a comma after the complimentary close.

2.Open: this kind of style do not have a colom after the salutation or a comma after the complimentary close.(which is becoming increasingly popular and a norm)

Envelop Addressing

It calls for accuracy, legibility and good appearance, and should conform to the inside address in both style and content.

Two forms:

    The indented form

    The blocked form
