Of theindividual members, most (1,182) are academic researchers from theUnited StatesandCanada, and 369 are businessprofessionals. Benefitsof membership

Membershipin ABC would benefit Monetary Press as well as me personally. The meetings andthe publications would enable me to bring the latest communication knowledge tomy editorial work. ABC would be especially helpful in my assignments involvingteaching communication to our employees, for much of its emphasis is onteaching techniques. Also, membership in ABC would enhance Monetary Press’simage. ABC is a prestigious organization, and its membership includes thecorporate elites. In addition, meeting with the members of other companies andexchanging ideas would help me do a better job of directing Monetary Press’scommunication activities.

                               -----介绍参加该组织的好处。

Costof membership

ABCannual dues are $40, including subscription to its publications. The costs of attendingthe meetings would vary with the meeting sites. For this year, the appropriatecosts for the international meeting in Las  Vegas would be $700 (registration, $80;transportation, $330; hotel, $180; meals, $90; miscellaneous, $30). The costsfor this year would be $1,310.

                              -----详细列示成为会员的一年费用。

Recommendedaction

Based onthe preceding information, I believe that membership in ABC offers us benefitswell worth the cost. Thus, I recommend the Monetary Press sponsor my membershipon a one-year trial basis. At the end of this year, I would review actualbenefit received and recommend wether or not to continue the membership.
