Section 5 Acceptance
After the counter-offer process, importer and exporter reach an agreement, and importer will place an order while exporter will make an acceptance.
An acceptance is an unreserved assent of the importer or the exporter, expressing willingness to enter into a contract in accordance with the terms and conditions has agreed on.
5.1 Basic requirements for making an acceptance
1. An acceptance must be absolute and unconditional, which is tendered only by the person to whom the offer is made.
2. An act performed by an offeree, such as the delivery of the goods or payment of the goods is also an acceptance. Otherwise, silence or inactivity is by no means an acceptance.
3. An acceptance must be within the valid period of a firm offer.
4. When it reaches the offeror, the acceptance comes into force.
