Section 3 Management of teamwork in international business negotiations
3.1 Three levels of a negotiating team
As for the levels of a negotiating team, the first level refers to the chief negotiator, or the leader, who has a lot of authority as well a lot of responsibility.
The second level of the negotiating team refers to knowledgeable experts and professionals.
The third level of the negotiating team refers to the workers needed for the negotiations, such as a stenographer(速记员) or typist or the personnel who offer logistic service at the negotiating table.
3.2 The structure of negotiating team members
A. Technical personnel e.g.: technician, engineer or chief engineer;
B. Business personnel, e.g.: director , manager;
C. Law personnel, e.g.: lawyer, law consultant;
D. Financial personnel, e.g.: accountant, account assistant;
E. Interpretation personnel, e.g.: interpreter
F. Service personnel, such as typist, personnel to take minutes.
